Quilt Preparation
In order to make the best of the quilting process it is important to
prepare your quilt properly. Check back for tips on quilt
preparation!
Some Facts to Remember:
- Backing and batting should be 4â€-8†larger than top on all four sides.
- Whenever possible, seam backing horizontally. This makes rolling the quilt a lot easier and minimizes the chance of tucks and puckers.
- The top and the back of the quilt should be pressed.
- Clip all threads. Unclipped threads on the surface can get caught in the foot and threads underneath can show through.
- Backing and batting should be 4â€-8†larger than top on all four sides.
- Your quilt will be trimmed down to 1†all the way around. If you don’t want it trimmed, please specify at the time of the order.
